Women in the photographs of Luciano del Castillo
There is something that strikes me in the work of Luciano del Castillo: his photos speak. Yes, these are not just figures impressed in a piece of paper, these are stories that endeavour the images instead of words. This is the feeling that his work inspired me since when I know him […]. Through these women I went around the world, from Europe to Africa, from Africa to America, from America to Asia. I realize that every time I look at them it takes me a little longer to move on, as if I would not want abandoning them. Or, is it the opposite? As if these women do not wish I go; they fascinate the innocent viewer that approaches them, as well as it is happening to me, thinking to see photographs and then to discover that these are stories of life.
Luciano del Castillo is a good reporter, one of those that with a simple click of his camera bring you so close to their protagonists that one seems to be able to listen to the whispers and the murmurs. Yes, I doubt no longer, these women are telling their own story and we must listen to them. And I hope that their voices will reach many people.
